Hundreds of homeowners have been enjoying the benefits of Mech-A-Tech home heating maintenance contract since October 1986. The contract covers parts, labour and an annual safety inspection of your central heating system. The contract can be paid for at the time the engineer has completed the safety inspection or alternatively, you can pay monthly by standing order.

What is Covered?

– Fan assembly

– Thermostats
– Overheat stats
– Thermo-coupling
– Electronic control boards
– Pilot assembly
– Any other first line spares a specified in the manufacturer’s instructions

– Programmer/ timer
– Room thermostat
– Cylinder thermostat
– Heating motorized value
– Hot water motorized value
– Circulating pump and isolating value
– Frost thermostats
– Thermostatic radiator values
– Radiator values
– Feed and expansion tank
– Cost of all parts and labour
– Annual safety inspection

What is not Covered

– Accidental damage (i.e. pipe-work or radiator values damaged when you have removed radiators for decorating purposes)
– Accidental damage also includes any damage to the system caused by other trades persons carrying out their duties.
– Hot water tank, cold water tank, and associated pipe work.
– Any fault relating to incorrect installation (unless the system was originally installed by Mech-A-Tech)
– Any loss incurred as a result of a changed appointment
– Damage to property as a result of any failure of any pert or component within the system
-Re-pressurising and venting of the system
– Injury to persons as a result of any failure of any part or component within the system
– The replacement of the boiler
– A manufacture’s defect
– Resetting of the time controls
– Any defect discovered at the initial service/ inspection
– Re lighting of pilot lights
– Problems relating to the public electricity, water or gas supplies
– The removal of sludge, system cleansing and inhibiting
– Any external part of the heating system including drain taps and flues etc…
